Then, on through to the spacious lounge and dining area where there is enough space for 6 people, and for your entertainment there is a large satellite TV and DVD player. There is also a large ceiling fan to cool you down after a long day in the sun!
There are large sliding doors that lead onto the large terrace overlooking the swimming pool (handy to keep an eye on the kids!). The terrace has a large table with chairs.
Marble stairs lead you upstairs onto a spacious landing. On the first floor is the superbly decorated family bathroom with WC, jacuzzi bath and shower.
Also on the first floor are two bedrooms; a large bedroom with two single beds, bedside cabinet, dressing table, large wardrobe and remote controlled air-conditioning unit, and a smaller bedroom with two single beds, bedside cabinet, smaller wardrobe and a remote controlled air-conditioning unit. This bedroom benefits a handy en-suite bathroom with WC, sink and shower cubicle.
Both bedrooms lead out onto a large balcony area with table and chairs, which has great views of the whole complex.
Leading up to the 2nd floor is the beautiful master bedroom with a large king size bed, bedside cabinets, dressing table, large wardrobes, storage space, remote-controlled air-conditioning unit, and an en-suite bathroom with WC, sink and shower cubicle. Doors open out onto a large roof-terrace that has sunbeds, table and chairs and fantastic views! Great when you want a little bit of privacy!
A great added bonus in our villa is the basement. We have just bought this year a full-size pool table that all our guests are very welcome to use. Balls and cues provided.
Towels and linen are provided, along with an iron, ironing board, clothes airer, hairdryer, CD player and a safe.
Local Area
The villa is only a 3 minute walk away from the sandy beach of Yesilkent that overlooks the magnificent mountains of Akbuk Bay, and offering swimming, sailing, boat hire, windsurfing and fishing. The sea is very safe for children as it stays shallow for quite a way out.
There are a couple of good restaurants within walking distance and a hotel serving drinks, ice-creams and food on their terrace.
There is a local shop nearby that sells all your day-to-day necessities.
You can reach the lively resort of Altinkum easily by the local Dolmus (minibus) service that runs every 5-10 minutes. Altinkum boasts three golden sandy beaches, all well maintained with sun-beds and parasols for hire. Water sports are also available. The compact town centre means that everything is within easy walking distance, with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The restaurant owners will collect you from your villa in a taxi and drop you off later - all free of charge!
There is always a friendly and relaxed atmosphere here and the people are very welcoming. The resort has a variety of amenities, making it appealing to a wide age range – offering everything from a traditional Turkish Bath, to all night clubbing!
A market runs every Saturday in Altinkum, easily accessible by Dolmus.
There is a lot of heritage to explore in Turkey, with such places as Ephesus and Pammukale being only a few hours away, and Apollo’s Temple, just a few minutes up the road!
Other popular excursions include boat trips from the harbour, island trips to Kos, Bodrum ferry. There is an aquapark just north of Didim, with slides, beaches, pools etc., which can be reached by Dolmus.
