La Belle Vie offers you “The Beautiful Life” in an environment of spacious tranquility. This well equipped and recently refurbished farmhouse has 2.5 acres of private land and is located in a small and very quiet village within rural France.

La Belle Vie is offered to you as a well equipped private self-catering house, suitable for groups of up to 8 persons and 2 infants. The property is all on ground floor and the grounds offer a safe and private haven from the busy world.

This spacious communal area has a large comfy corner settee, two tub chairs and a rocking chair, and also includes Sky TV, DVD/VCR player, Radio CD player, a selection of DVD’s and videos, board games and guitar for the musically inclined.

Well Equipped Kitchen for 8+ people and includes, cooker, hob, fridge freezers, kettle, toaster, microwave and double sink.

Dining Areas are set within kitchen and also outside on the patio area with gazebo.

All Bedrooms look out onto the garden and comprise 2 Double Bedrooms, 2 Twin Bedrooms that are all newly furnished with wardrobes, cabinets draws, and 2 cots are available. Fresh bed linen is also provided.

Shower room with large walk-in shower, twin basins, cupboards and bathroom cabinet.

The Utility Room is next to the kitchen and includes traditional farmhouse sink, washing machine, and housekeeping storage cupboard with vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board.

Central heating is available throughout, the property.

Baby Equipment is available and includes 2 cots with bedding, highchair, buggy, cycle seat, baby monitor, night lights and dining sets.

Large Double Garage is set up as a games room and includes 6 foot Pool table, table football and Darts for adults and children. Bikes are also available to suit adults and children. Within the garage there is also mezzanine area (we call the "Crows Nest") with original timbers and stonewalls which is currently used as a play area for older children.

The private grounds span over 2.5 acres and offer wonderful views of surrounding countryside with no overlooking property. In addition the grounds are extremely child friendly and safe. From the house there is direct access to patio & gazebo from double French doors and the kitchen door.

A long private driveway leading to the property is lined by fruit trees and Nocturnal Lighting. The parking areas outside the house can easily accommodate 4 cars.

The Secluded Gardens include a 5 metre diameter plunge pool, BBQ, gazebo, swings, loungers and more tables and chairs.

The Pool House houses a selection of garden games, BBQ tools, outside shower and pool equipment.

The Orchard offers a multitude of fruit and nut trees and vines.

A Large Open Field also adjoins the property and is ideal for playing games.

A Welcome Pack is included to get your holiday off to a relaxing start and additional supplies can be arranged to greet you when you arrive.

Local Area

La Belle Vie is nestled in the Deux-Sévres region of Poitou-Charentes, which is known for its rural beauty. We enjoy the relaxing and friendly atmosphere in this part of rural France.

There is a local shop in Clussais La Pommeraie, and markets and supermarkets in Lezay, Melle and Sauze Vaussais.

Less than 10 minutes away is Lezay, a small French town with a bank, supermarket, and restaurants. Lezay also hosts a renound Market every Tuesday.

The beautiful market town of Melle is about 15 minutes drive and offers more aminities and shopping in a picturesque setting.

Historic Niort is 30 minutes drive and has many sites to visit including the Galleries set within the walls of the Castle in the town centre.

There are many friendly local restaurants that offer excellent and very affordable menus, which makes eating out a regular event.

The surrounding area hosts a multitude of sites and attractions and in the years we have been travelling there we have yet to exhaust the possible day trips that are available in the area.

Travelling to La Belle Vie

We generally drive to France via the ferries or the tunnel and from Calais or Boulonge the distance is about 400 Miles. The motorways are the fastest routes but are largely toll roads and the total cost from Calais is about 50 Euro. The newly upgraded A28 between Abbeville and Tours makes the journey a breeze and normally takes us only 6 hours from Boulogne.

The local airport at Poitiers is serviced by Ryan Air who offer daily flights from London - Stansted. If you get lucky you may be able to fly over for just a few pounds. However you will need a car still to get about and car hire is available at the airport.

Prices are for the complete property which can easily accomodate 8 Adults + 2 Infants.

01/07/07 – 31/08/07 £650 for 1st Week
01/09/07 – 02/11/07 £500 for 1st Week
03/11/07 – 31/12/07 £400 for 1st Week

A Discount of £50 per week on second weeks stay.

Changeover day is Saturday.

Check in at 4.00 pm & Check out by 10.00 am.

Price includes Welcome hamper and fresh bed linen. Electricity, Oil and Gas during the summer months are also included.

A Security Deposit of £100 will be added to the final balance and is refundable within 14 days after the property has been checked.
